Our Story
Trusted Pest Reviews was founded in 2019 by a team of entomologists, pest management professionals, and homeowners who were tired of seeing pest control equipment ranked by whoever had the biggest advertising budget. Between us, we had wasted good money on bug zappers that couldn't cover a small patio, mouse traps with hair-trigger sensitivity issues, and ultrasonic repellers that did nothing but glow. We knew there had to be a better way for homeowners to find gear that actually works.
We started Trusted Pest Reviews to fix that. Every product we review is independently tested, scored against transparent criteria, and verified against real-world field performance — never paid placement.
What We Stand For
Independence
Brands cannot pay for placement. Our rankings are determined by testing results, not marketing budgets.

Our methodology is public. Our scoring is itemized. Our affiliate relationships are fully disclosed.
Homeowner Safety First

Our Editorial Team
Trusted Pest Reviews's reviews are written and edited by a team with decades of combined experience in entomology, integrated pest management, and hands-on residential pest control.
Darnell Whitfield
Darnell ran a regional pest control operation in the Gulf South before moving to editorial work, where he now tests gear in his own 1920s bungalow and his mother-in-law's farmhouse. He specializes in termite biology, rodent exclusion, and helping homeowners read pesticide labels without panicking.
Priya Ramanathan
Priya spent nine years running IPM field trials for a land-grant university before joining Trusted Pest Reviews. She leads our sprayer, trap, and monitoring-station testing protocols and has a soft spot for any tool that reduces pesticide load around kids and pets.
How We Make Money
We're transparent about this: Trusted Pest Reviews earns affiliate commissions when readers purchase products through links on our site. This is how we keep the site free and continue independent testing.
What this never affects: Our rankings. Our scoring criteria are determined before we evaluate any product, and we publish our methodology publicly. A brand cannot pay us to rank higher, write a more favorable review, or remove a competitor.
